Here comes another summary of the xxx industry news that surfaced worldwide in the past month. We have both good news and bad news. But things seem to calm down on the war on the porn front. As we suspected, the American war on porn significantly toned down once the Midterm elections passed. And since Republicans, the most vocal fighters against pornography, have been the big losers of these Midterm elections, we most likely won’t see many of their crazy proposals put into practice.
Even The UK Backs Down From Their War On Porn
The new prime minister of the United Kingdom seems to be saner when it comes to the legislature that’s meant to regulate porn in the new era of adult entertainment and naughty social media. The controversial Online Safety Bill had the power to disrupt the good functioning of the adult industry but also to infringe on Free Speach, acting as a censor for both production companies and individuals.
British MP has come to the stage to announce that the harsh language in the Online Safety Bill has been revised. The bill was supposed to give commissions the right to remove content they might have found harmful. However, that’s too broad of a description to be put into practice without creating controversy and infringement on personal liberties.
Elon Musk’s Shadowbanning Policy
Ever since Elon Musk officially took over Twitter, adult creators and sex workers have been anxious because no one knows what he’s about to do in regard to all the adult content that’s hosted on the medial social platform. Twitter remains to this day, the main mainstream social media platform to allow adult content. An eventual Twitter ban on porn will disrupt the activity of millions of sex workers and content creators. While Elon Musk claims that he took over the social media company to protect the right to free speech, sources always come to the surface claiming that a shadowban policy will be put into place or that adult content will be banned altogether.
Georgia Overturns Their Soviet Era Ban On Porn
Georgia is one of the last European countries from the ex-communist block to overturn their ban on porn. Legislators have legalized the production and distribution of pornography in the country, giving local creators a chance to establish independent studios legally. Such overturn of porn bans happened early in most other ex-communist countries. That’s why we’ve seen such a boom in East European porn industry in Hungary and Czechia, and that’s why we have such a flourishing cam sex industry in Romania nowadays. We’re curious to discover what this overturn of porn banning will mean for the small former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Are you ready for Georgian porn?
